Top Reason To Begin Weight Training
The Number One Reason People Begin Weight Training- It's almost 4th of July Weekend and it's bikini time. It will be worth all of the weight training and cardiovascular training when you are trying on a new swimsuit and you don't feel like you don't have to cover up because you lack the confidence in your appearance. When you sit at the edge of the pool this summer and you don't have to sit a certain way to cover a muffin top you can concentrate on having fun with you friends.
2. Landscaping your home.
If you are a home owner then you have to mow your yard, use a weed eater, and trim your bushes. It would be very beneficial if you were doing dead lifts and squats to greatly improve your lower back strength. Try this test; Vacuum your carpet, if you are feeling some abs and your thighs are burning like a demon then you could probably benefit from a gym.
3. Being able to enjoy foods at family cook outs.
I know I like to enjoy hamburgers, hot dogs, ribs, and all the other great summer foods at a cook out without looking like a stereotypical Tennessean that's usually featured on our local news with a pot belly, a beer in one hand, and a floaty that barely holds me.
For every 10 pounds of muscle you gain you are burning 3,500 calories extra a week which is more calories burned in a week than your typical Cardio Bunnies you see running on the streets. If you want to run miles for an hour just to burn off the amount of calories in one hamburger you can, or you can workout just 3 days a week for 30 minutes and feel like you can live a more enjoyable life.
4. Be Happier.
When you are weight training, your body sends out a chemical signal to your adrenal glands activating the sympathetic system, which sends the body into an excited state. These glands release adrenaline (epinephrine),noradrenaline (norepinephrine),serotonin, and endorphins. The best way for Americans to get off the prescription drugs for depression is weight training since it increases the hormones naturally that anti-depressants are costing us millions a year for.
Taking antidepressant drugs like Risperdal (risperidone) and Seroquel (quetiapine fumarate) could cause you to gain a lot of weight very quickly, on 11/18/2010 according to a recent report in CNN. Typical antipsychotic drugs are responsible for causing voracious hunger episodes in roughly 30 percent of patients...

5. Less Visits to the Doctor.
Weight Training increases your metabolism, strengthens your heart, and stabilizes your insulin levels thereby reducing your chances for diabetes and other health modalities.
Brown University researchers led by Dr. Amal Trivedi found that higher co-payments encouraged senior citizens to reduce their doctor visits, but they became sicker and required more expensive hospital care. Details are in the Jan. 28, 2010, edition of The New England Journal of Medicine.
6. Abs look great don't they.
Nothing makes you look and feel more attractive and bulletproof than a visible six-pack. If you remember anything about the number 6 reason to weight train remember this "Abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym." You will NEVER have desirable abs without losing the body fat covering them and weight training results of any kind are 80% diet. So next time you look in the mirror think of that high sugar Starbucks drink and picture your dreams of Brad Pitt " Fight Club " abs or Angelina Jolie " Tomb Raider " tights being enlarged and stretched away.

7. It costs more to eat a lot than to eat healthy.
Sure a high sugar smoothie from Smoothie King may taste good and make you feel like you are eating healthy but the average amount of sugar in them is 50-100 grams with 500-800 calories. Let's say you have thoughts of skipping breakfast and having a smoothie for lunch, there goes 8-10 dollars and an insulin surge that will cause you to cave on your diet by the energy crash later. If you had 4 egg whites, fat free cheese, two slices of whole wheat bread it would cost you $1.50. With a foot long sandwich from Subway it would cost you $6.00 after tax, you could eat half for lunch, half for a pre-work out meal, and still save more money and calories by the time you want to destroy your diet after the smoothie crash that's going to cause you to give up on your diet from the insulinogenic surge your first Monday on your new fitness plan.
8. Your Family will be motivated.
If you lost 10-20 pounds and you have a mother or father that is overweight they will see your new motivation for change in your life and become motivated themselves. Maybe if they are happier themselves they will be more than happy to buy you that new Ipad you have been wanting so you can all track your diet and fitness goals.
9. New shows to watch this summer.
Every one chooses to watch the television shows they do because they can relate to the stories they tell. When your wanting to eat bad food and you feel lazy this summer you can watch shows like "The Biggest Loser" and "HEAVY" because you can now relate to them since you have also decided to make a change in your life.
10. Feeling of accomplishment.
I would be awestruck if someone who has reached their goals of losing 20-30 pounds didn't see how they can also control other goals they have in their lives. There is no other feeling like setting out to do what so many people say they are going to do like losing weight and you have actually accomplished it.
